What to Expect

You may be new to the area, or it’s been a long time since you have been to church, or maybe you just want to check us out. You may be a believer, or you may be trying to figure out your faith. Pickens View Wesleyan will welcome you as a friend. We are here to give people an opportunity to connect with God and to know Him more. We know there can be many questions or concerns when visiting a church for the first time. Let us try to answer a few of those for you.

What are your services like?
You will sense that the service was prepared but is also warm and welcoming.
The music will be genuine, heartfelt and biblical and will appeal across generational lines. The preaching will hold your attention and help you apply the Bible to everyday life. We want this time to become the highlight of your week.

How long are they?
Our goal is to keep our services about an hour and 15 minutes long. Our Sunday morning 10:30 service is typically dismissed well before noon.

What is typical attire?
We are more interested in your being with us than what you wear. At a Pickens View worship service you will see some folks dressed up, others in business casual and still others in jeans. All are welcome.

Is child care available?
Yes! Nursery is available for infants and graded classes are available for children through grade 5. Our children’s workers are experienced, good with kids, and enjoy what they do. Your child will feel loved and secure in this environment and will learn about God and the Bible.
